Barney’s Paw House is a small, in-home dog boarding and day care service located in the quiet Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany, Morris County, New Jersey. We’re not a kennel — we’re a real home, and your dog is treated like a member of the family.
A Safe, Calm Environment
Our home sits at the end of a quiet, dead-end street right next to a park — peaceful, low-traffic, and perfect for dogs. The property is fully fenced with plenty of grassy space for your pup to run, explore, sniff around, and just be a dog. On hot days, we set up a small kiddie pool for dogs who love to splash and cool off!
We keep our groups small by design — so every dog gets real attention, not just a spot in a crowded room.
Who We Welcome
We love dogs of all shapes and sizes, but we do have a few important ground rules to keep everyone safe and happy:
- ✅ Dogs only — and we do not have cats in our home
- ✅ Adult environment — we do not have children in the home
- ✅ Smoke-free home — no smoking on the property
- ✅ Socialized dogs only — all dogs must be friendly and have no history of aggression
Your dog’s safety — and the safety of every dog in our care — is our #1 priority.
The Meet & Greet
Before any boarding or day care stay, we require a Meet & Greet. This gives us a chance to meet you and your pup, make sure personalities are compatible with our current pack, and ensure your dog will thrive in our home environment. It’s a quick, relaxed visit — and it makes all the difference.
